There has been some highlights for me this month. My newest addition on Booksie, 'I Used To Choose You,' has not only been climbing the charts, but has also been shared, saved and viewed on multiple social media platforms.
It is always exciting when a piece, that didn't take much time doing, does so well. The same poem was converted with music into lyrics and is also popular in this form. A comment from a fan was, "This should blow up" - made me so proud. In saying that, my Booksie reads have reached 17k, aligning me with my goal of 20k this year. I feel a surge of satisfaction when I see the goals I've set for myself, potentially becoming a reality. Driving me to really focus on achieving more of my goals, including progressing with my language journey of continuing learning Latin and Greek. I've not had the time to dedicate to completing some projects that need doing (these ones need total undisturbed attention), but I have continued to commit to being creative daily. I had inspiration for a new story called 'Tornado' - which is exciting! I've made some small edits and character profiles on some of my on-going stories - so continuing to put sand in the sandpit. I also designed some perfume bottles and specialized scents. I know, such a random thing to do, but being creative always helps with writer's block and it really was a fun project. I was inspired after learning a lot about the art of a perfumier - potential story idea, maybe?! Regardless, this has been a successful month, because daily, I have been actively doing something. For awhile there I lacked the drive or passion to, so this for me has not only lifted my mood but has also made me feel more like my old self. Sometimes we get some overwhelmed with daily life, that we lose our sparkle. Well, I am getting back my sparkle. I hope for those of you that have been feeling the same way, manage to find yours again. Until next time, keep trying. Remember it doesn't need to be perfect. You just need to keep shoveling sand in the sandpit before you can build those amazing castles. Love Aria x
